Here is a wonderful explanation......A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away. Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, 'Absolutely Mom, I love your cake.' 'Here, have some cooking oil,' her Mother offers. 'Yuck' says her daughter.. 'How about a couple raw eggs?' 'Gross, Mom!' 'Would you like some flour then or maybe baking soda?' 'Mom, those are all yucky!' To which the mother replies: 'Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! ' God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful! God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart...

Sis. We're finally getting over our winter and getting into the spring. I think spring just makes everything that much better. The boys are starting to get ready for the baseball season. Isaac and Jonah are playing this year, however we decieded to hold off on Noah for another year. But I am sure Noah and Micah will be out running around. Each one of them has their own little thing that defines who they are. Isaac is our video games and sports boy. He would play every sport there is if we would let him, in which he does play a lot. And then if he's not out playing sports he wants to be in playing video games. But I would have to say his passion for what he likes is what gets me the most. When he gets something in his head that he wants to do, then he gives it his all. And I love that about him. Jonah is our school boy. He likes to learn, but most of all he likes to read. One night Jimmy told him he was grounded to his room and all he could do is read, and his reply was, "OK I like to read". He makes mostly A's and some B's. And we don't even have to make him work at it, he does it all on his own. I love that he has this trait about him...the want to learn! Noah is probably the child that has given us the most run around. He is very active and tries to do want he wants. But he is so loving. Just out of the blue he will<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MbFX3FcvcpA/TMjkvJQl3nI/AAAAAAAAAXA/g_3x1VlHS8k/s200/leah+744.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532923640815148658" /> say "love you mommy" and "mommy hug". I walk in the door from work and I see him coming running and saying "mommy home". Even though he has a speech delay, he always knows what to say to make you smile, and I love it! And last his Micah. He is such a happy baby. He has a smile that can just melt your heart. He doesn't just smile with his mouth, he uses his whole face. You get these big blue eyes, two round checks, eight little white teeth, and a glow that is to die for! He can say so much with his smile, and I love it! But even though they all have their own traits that define who they are, they all have one thing in common, they are our gifts from GOD. And I love each and everyone of them for who they are!!

Sis. We had just left Jimmy's baseball cookout and we were just driving along talking, when all of a sudden we heard squealing tires. We had just started going cause we were at a red light, when we looked over there was a white van head right for us. Thank God the person realized and slammed on their breaks, or else they would have been sitting in my lap. I don't think I have ever come this close to being hit before. It scared us all. I don't think anyone said anything for a few minutes, outside of Jimmy saying "Thank You Lord".

Sis. I have had a lot going on lately. The kids get out of school next Wednesday, and I am so excited. I enjoy being able to have them around more, when they are out of school. Isaac had a program at school today, that I enjoyed very much. Tomorrow I get to go and enjoy lunch with Jonah at school for is special luncheon. Then next Tuesday I get to go and watch Noah's end of the year program. Well that all is if it's ok with God. These past couple of days I have really been trying to examine my self and see where I fall short with God. There are areas that I need to work on. I get so caught up in our every day life that I don't always do what I feel I should do or even say. I guess one of my biggest faults is having the courage to do what the Lord puts on my heart. I have always some what been on the shy side, I guess you could say. But it's time I need to lay that aside me. If God could give his only begotten son, so that I could have the hope of salvation, then why I can't put my self aside and do what the Lord has for me to do? I guess you could say that's the question that I have for my self. I am so thankful that God choose me to be one of his children. I know I don't deserve it, but I am so ever greatful for it.

Sis. Since my last post Noah has turned 3 years old and has started preschool. He got into preschool because of his speech delay, and I can't believe how much he has improved just since he has started going. I like to believe that it's because of God though. We have had hands laid on him and asked the brethren to pray about it, and he is really starting to talk more where we can understand him. Isaac and Jonah both finished up their season of basketball. Isaac's team went to the championship game and won...yeah!!! Now they are both getting ready to start their baseball season. I really enjoy the baseball season. It's just something about being outside after being locked up all winter. This will be Isaac's second year playing and Jonah's first. I hope the both have a good season. Micah is now 3 and a half months old. He weights 16 lbs. and is 26 inches long. He is our chunky monkey. All you have to do is look at him and he will get to laughing. It is so cute! He can turn any bad day into a good one with his smile. It's amazing how the simplest things in life can bring such joy and happiness.

Sis. See Jimmy got hurt at work, and had to have hernia surgery a week and a half ago. So he is going to be off work until the beginning of March. So that was nice to have him home with the kids. Plus Frankie also took that day off because of some appointments that she had. How ever things are a little crazy at work right now with the Colts going to the Superbowl. I was suppose to have today off, but there is so much stuff that needs to be done around there, so I offered to go in and help out. Plus I'll get paid over time for it, and we can use that with Jimmy being off work. But through all this God has been here by our side. First off at work they won't hold a position for a part timer (which is what I am considered) unless you have been with the company for a year, when I gave birth to Micah I had been employed there for a year and three months. Then I'm not glad that my husband got hurt, but the timing has been nice with me having to go back to work. And last, but not least this past year Jimmy has had to work a lot of over time and be away from us. Well come to find out work mans comp will only pay 66 % of your annual gross income. With all the over time he worked this past year it put his amount right at what a normal check would have been. So all praise goes to God. He has been so good to us. He knew what we needed, when we had no idea. He turned a bad situation into a good one. I am so thankful to have him in my life, and to know that he will always be there for me, if I allow him to be!!

Sis. Boy time sure does fly by. He is getting so big. I still can't decide who he looks like though. He has my mouth, the schoolcraft nose, and then he kind of has his own look. Although I do see each of the boys in him at times. He is starting to do better through out the night. Last night I got 4 straight hours of sleep. It is so amazing how different he is from when Noah was a baby. Noah never did spit up, and Micah does it all the time. Which I really could have done with out that. But if that's the least of my worries I will take it. I ask that you all might say a prayer. Noah has eczema real bad and he is also allergic to peanuts. I ask first that you might say a prayer for him with his eczema, it really itches him a lot, but also that you might pray that Micah doesn't have to go through this. Isaac never did have any and Jonah had some eczema, but nothing like what Noah has. And the allergies came out of no where. So if you think about it please say a prayer. Other than that we are all doing good around here. Life is getting easier with the new one around. Things have settled down, I guess you can say. All three boys love their new brother. Noah tries all the time to pick him up and to take care of him. So we have to keep a close eye on him. And then Isaac and Jonah are both older so they do real good with him. Isaac likes to just sit and look at him. He is going to make a good dad one day in the far, far future. But all thanks is to God. He has been so good to me. He has blessed me with four wonderful boys. Each one is a blessing in their own way. And I will forever be thankful for each one!!

Sis. And to much surprise he has done really good with it. He still has his accidents, mostly when it comes to going number 2. But they say that is the hardest part of potty training. I can't believe he is going to be 3 on February 22. It seems like I went in to have Micah and, when I came home Noah was all grown up. As most of you know he also struggles with his speech, he has a delay. Well here lately he has been doing a lot better with this also. His speech therapist was here today, and she even made a comment about how well he was doing. I am so thankful for how well he is adjusting to all the new changes, and I know that God has been there to help every step of the way.

Sis. I have gotten on and read the blogs, but not done much with mine. So lets see what have I been up to lately? Well we are still waiting the arrival of our new family member. I am going to be 38 weeks on Monday, so we still have a couple weeks. I hope he comes soon, I am so uncomfortable. Plus I am ready to take some time off work. We had a good Thanksgiving. We normally do Thanksgiving with my family on Thanksgiving and then Thanksgiving with my hubby's side the day after. Well we normally do our thanksgiving at my aunt and uncles house, and this year they made plans to go to her sisters. And then my grandmothers house is too small. So a bunch of them just ended up going down to French Lick for Thanksgiving. We were unable to make it due to my hubby having to work that morning and then I needed to go to bed early cause I had to get up Friday at 3:00 am for work. So it was the first year I didn't spend Thanksgiving with my family. It was a little hard on me, but with the Lords help I made it through with only a few tears. And then there was Black Friday. I am so glad that it is over with. I really struggled to make it through the day. It's not easy standing in one spot all day dealing with crabby customers, not to mention being 36 weeks pregnant. Plus I got stuck with all the upset customers, cause no one else knew enough to help them, including our manager. But once again with the Lords help, and only by that, I was able to make it through the day. Then I was able to come home and enjoy the afternoon with my hubby's side of the family and eat a good Thanksgiving dinner. Then we put up our Christmas tree and some of the decorations this past Monday night, and I was able to get what presents i had here wrapped and put under the tree. I only have like five more gifts to buy and I am done...Yeah!!!! So that is a little of what has been going on around here. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and that you have a Merry Christmas!! And hopefully my next post will have pictures of out new family member.

Sis. Well we had another birthday a week ago. Jonah turned 7 this year. We celebrated his birthday the Saturday before and Frankie also cooked my birthday dinner. And yes Sis. Frankie done the cake, which turned out great. It was the first time we really had the family over to our new house since we moved in. The weather was a little chilly, but the kids (both little and big) had fun playing out back. I am so thankful to have a fenced in back yard. When we first started looking for a house it's one of the things that I really wanted, and I am thankful that God allowed us to have it. Oh the joy to just to be able to open the back door and the the kids run. The Lord has really blessed us with this house. We finally got Isaac and Jonah's room painted. They wanted it done it the Colts. So now we just have to get Noah and Micah's room done. We are going to do it in emergency vehicles. We are just having a little trouble finding decals to match the paint that we already bought. You would think that they would be easy to find. I guess we should have gotten the decals first and then the paint....lol!!! I can always do a boarder, but I don't really want to put anything permanent on the walls. I am sure we will figure something out.

Then this past Monday we meet up with Sis. Jackie and her family, and we got dinner and went and ate at the park. It was nice to get out and let the kids play. We had a scare while we were there, but the Lord to care of it, and I am so thankful for that. By the time we got done eating it had started to get dark so we just let the kids play. They have beautiful wooded paths you can walk, we decided to wait and do those another day. But all in all in been a good past couples weeks.

Sis. So hopefully they have everything they need now.

Since my last post Isaac turn 9 on the 14th of September. We had a small get together for him over at Sis. Jackie's and Bro. Johnny's house. Our place isn't in the best of shape right now, lets just say boxes every where. Plus Isaac shares his birthday with his Uncle Johnny, so Sis. Frankie was making Johnny's birthday dinner also. It was nice to get away from here and enjoy time with the family. Isaac wanted a baseball cake this year, and of course Sis. Frankie done another wonderful cake. I can't believe he turned 9. Next year he'll hit the double digits...yikes!! Then on the 18th of September I turned 25. I am now a quarter of a century...lol My hubby took me out to eat...mexican...yum! But some how he manged to make is way to my work and buy himself a new bow for hunting. Men what would we do without them...LOL!! Then this past Friday Jimmy went on a field trip with Jonah to Tuttles Orchard. They had a good time. It was suppose to rain all day and God blessed them with nothing but sunshine.

So that's what we have been up to around here lately. Hope everyone has a good day, and may God be with you in all you do.

Sis. They told us to get a hold of our realtor on Tuesday and sit up a closing date for either the 18th or 21st. So hopefully we will be moving into our new home soon!! Well that is as long as it is okay with God. I can't wait to be able to get in there and paint and decorate the way I want to. We have lived in apartments or with family since we have been married, so you can't really do it the way that you want to. I am excited to have the yard so that we can just step out back and let the kids run around. And also I wanted to share a small blessing from God. Our gas grills leg rusted off a couple weeks ago. We have had it for just over a year now. We called the company today and they said that they would replace it for us. Yeah!!!! I really didn't want to have to go out and get a new one.

On a different note I ask that you all might say a prayer about my job. I have grown to really hate going in to work. A while ago I talked to our manager about the hours she was scheduling me to work. She had me working every night that I was there, and so I was never getting to see the two oldest. So then things got better for a while, and now we are right back to where we started. I don't get to go to any of the family's get togethers because of it, and I hardly see the two oldest now that they are back in school. I would love to turn in my two weeks notice and be done with it, but I don't see that being an option. But I ask that you might just say a prayer that if it is for me to get another job I would know where to look, and if it's not that things would get better at work. I love you all and hope that everything is going well for each of you.

Sis. Our realtor called us tonight and said the offer has basically been accepted and it just needed to be signed by us, but first she wanted to run a few more numbers. I am excited but scared all at the same time. First and for most I want to make sure that this is Gods will for us. Then with the way the economy is today any big purchase is scary. But if it's Gods will for us then I know he will see us through. The house would be perfect for us, and it's all one level....YEAH!!!! It has a nice size back yard already fenced in, which is what I wanted most for the kids. So as of right now all we can do is keep praying for Gods will to be done.

Sis. You would think since Isaac is now a third grader and Jonah is a first grader it would be easier to send them to school. But I found myself still wanting to cry as they both climbed onto their buses. I kept myself busy all day yesterday trying to make the time past by faster. And as soon as the clock hit 2:30 Noah and I headed down to the bus stop. Jonah was the first one to get home. And yes of course he got off the bus with a huge smile on his face. Noah was so happy when he saw the bus coming he started jumping up and down. So then we waited for Isaac to get home. As we stood there waiting we talked about Jonahs day. He was so worried that morning that none of his friends were going to be in his class this year. So I asked him who all was in his class, and he said just about all the kids that were in his class last year. So then Isaac's bus comes around the corner, and of course he got off the bus with a smile on his face also. Once we got back home Isaac and I talked about his day. He has his same teacher from last year, and a lot of his friends from last year are in his class. They both said they had a good day, and that put a smile on my face. They go back on August 12. So then we went and met up with Sis. Frankie and headed to the zoo. It was a hot and crowded day at the zoo. But we made the best of it and had fun. We first went and saw the fish, and sharks, then to the penguin, seals and polar bear. Frankie and I got to pet a shark for the first time. That was cool!! They are very soft feeling. Then we headed over to the plains and saw the giraffe, lions, monkeys, and elephants. After taking many stops through there we headed over to the rabbits, goats, horses, and sheep. Isaac and Jonah got to go in and pet the goats and walk around with them. They both thought that was really neat. Then it was time for the dolphin show. I love dolphins and it made it even better cause Noah actually sat still and watched the show. Then we ended the day at the splash zone. They were all drenched from head to toe by the time we left. I wish I would of had the camera for this, but I didn't want it to get wet. I think this may have been all of their favorite part. But all in all it was a good day.

So other than that everything has been going well around here. Just getting ready for school and a baby. We go and find out what we are having next Monday. I can't wait, I am so excited!!Well that is as long as the little thing decides to cooperate with us. Well that was until our two year old decided to get sick tonight. Sis. Krissy baby sits for me and she told me today that he wasn't being him self. So then this afternoon we went for a ride and lets just say it turned sour. So we have decided to put off our trip for now. But we still have the weekend off to enjoy and try to relax. If Noah comes to your mind I ask that you say a prayer. With me being pregnant and sick all the time it is hard for me to clean him up. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I am so excited to be going. Just to be able to get away for a couple days and get to see all the brethren there. Plus it is so beautiful there. I love to just get out there and drive around, lots of hills and valleys. We plan on heading back on Monday, and then Tuesday is my hubby's 30th birthday. Not sure what we are going to do for him, I have to work noon to six. Maybe a special dinner or something, who knows? But I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and I'll post about the trip when I get back.

Sis. I hadn't been to the museum since I was in school. So I really was looking forward to it. Plus we all got in free thanks to my husbands work, so that just made it that much better. We wasn't sure how Noah would do so we were a little worried at first, but he ended up doing really good. They had a science area and the kids made boats and played in the water. Then we went from there and rode the carousel. This was Noah's first ride ever. Isaac ,Jonah, and Jimmy rode the ones that move up and down, and Noah rode one that stays still with me standing next to him. I think Jimmy was scared the most out of all of them. LOL!! Then we went and walked through the dinosaur area. That was lots of fun. The kids got to dress up as dinosaurs. The had a dig area were they could go and dig and find different bones(fake of course) and things. Then we went and walked through a train. And then we went on a tour of a tomb. The kids got to help dress a fake mummy. And then from there we just kind of walked around and looked at the different things. We had a really good day and we all enjoyed it very much.

Sis. I am 7 weeks today. I do ask for prayer in this, my last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. So if I come to your mind please say a prayer. But however we are excited about it, and can't wait to welcome the baby into our lives. Also there is another sister in our church, Sis.Holli, she too is pregnant and miscarried her last one. She is around 14 weeks pregnant, and this is her first child. So you might remember her in your prayers also.

Sis. All the teams meet at one spot and then walked through town to the baseball fields. It was a beautiful day for this, sun was shining and the wind was blowing, oh how I love spring. But anyways this is Isaac's first year playing baseball, so we wasn't sure how he would do. It turns out he is pretty good at baseball. He was drafted to the Yankees. He tries to play all positions instead of just taking care of his. But he is very athletic. The way they do this age of kids is they let one whole team bat and then it is the other teams turn, the kids get six chances to hit the ball before it's the next kids turn, and they don't keep score. Isaac was fourth from last in his batting line up. He hit the ball both times he batted and so did the next two boys. However the last little kid couldn't hit the ball, so Isaac never did get to make it home. But he done really good. So we are really proud of him and look forward to this season.

Sis. I thought I would share with all my sisters how thankful I am that God chose me to be one of his children. This September will be my 5th year since I started my walk with God. See my sister and I were living on our own when I was 15 and she was 18 years old. We both worked at this restaurant called Zydeco's New Orleans Grill next door to where we lived. So being that young and not having any one around to tell us what to do we pretty much done whatever we wanted to do. Well also working at this restaurant were two sisters in the faith. They would say things and I just totally blew them off. I didn't want to hear what they had to say. I was having fun, or so I thought. We worked together for about 3 years before I finally came to church. I first stepped into the church January of 2004. I went for a couple months and then stop. I started to realize that there was more to this life than what I had, and it scared me. I still continued to hang out with the sisters, so I didn't leave totally. August of 2004 my sister, a friend of hers, and I took a trip to Florida. Well while we were down there a hurricane hit. We had know it was coming but it was on the other side of Florida. Well lets just say the hurricane changed direction and came straight across land. We were on the 20th floor and I remember waking up to water pouring in the windows and sitting in a chair swaying back in forth. So as soon as I got back home I started going back to church. August 29 this sister and her family and I went out to eat after church. As we sat there talking about things I told her I wanted to be baptized. We called Bro. Jerry and he talked to me about it. He asked me if I was sure about it, and I all I could say was I have never been more sure about anything. So the following Wednesday night before church I was baptized. The following Sunday we had the Lord's supper and I have been ever so thankful since then. God has been so good to me. He gave me a good husband, three very handsome boys, great in-laws, and a wonderful family in Christ. So the thought came on my mind what have I done for God? Do I make God happy? I try, I know there are things that I need to work on. And so I ask for prayer, that I would be a person that is pleasing to God. That my eyes and ears would be open. And that I would be willing to do any and everything that the Lord puts before me. That I would be in subjection to my husband as God wants. Not that I am horrible, but this is something I do struggle with. I am a very strong willed person, and I need not to be so much. But I know with God's help I can do anything.

Sis. I have been so busy around here with work and trying to keep up with the house work. I feel like I have been going non-stop, but not a lot talk about. We got a new manager at work the end of January and she has been scheduling me a lot. Which is good I don't want to complain, but it's a lot of evening time and I don't get to see the two oldest boys or my husband very much. But on the same note there looks to be a FEC (front end coordinator) position coming available and she pulled me aside this past Saturday and said that if everything goes as plan that she wants me to take that position. Which is what I have been wanting to do, but only if it is GOD's will. So if you think about it please say a prayer about it. As far as Noah goes, he is still in diapers. He will go and sit on his potty, but he never does anything. But I am just taking it slow with him. When he is ready he'll go. You see Noah doesn't much talk. We put him in speech therapy this past November. He is doing so much better, but still not saying much. One thing they work on with him is signing. So he does do some signing and say a few words. But as you see his communication isn't all that great. So that's why I say when he's ready he'll go. Isaac and Jonah have finished up their basketball games. They both played really well and learned a lot. Isaac is going to play baseball this spring, so we are getting ready for that. Jonah decided that he didn't want to play any sports this spring. Which is fine by us. I think after he watches Isaac play he'll change is mind next year. They both get their report cards Friday. So I am excited to see how they have done these nine weeks. Isaac has moved up in math and reading both since his last report card. And Jonah is just a smart little thing, sometimes too smart for his own good. Jimmy is now in his baseball season. He coaches 7th - 8th grade baseball. They had try-outs last week, so now they have started their practices. His first game is April 7. This is his second year coaching, so I hope they have a good season. Wow as I sit here writing I guess I do have a lot going on.... So I will stop now before I write a book. I love you all and I will try not to take so long before my next post. Oh by the way Jimmy's heart has been messing with him lately. It will beat then wait a second or two then beat two beats real fast. So if he comes to your mind I ask that you might remember him in your prayers.

Sis. Wow I can't believe it's been two years already. It seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant. But we had a good day. We started the day out with going to the two older boys' basketball game. I really enjoy going to their games. It is so fun to watch Jonah's age group play. This is all the first year kids playing so they just all kind of do their own thing. And then you watch Isaac's age group and they are more competitive. Isaac has came a long way since he first got on the court. He made three baskets today...YEAH!!! So then we came home and got the the house ready for Noah's birthday. It kind of snowed this morning so there was some of my family that couldn't make it, but we had Jimmy's family over. We got a potty chair, some clothes, and a tricycle for Noah. I plan on starting the potty training on Monday, so if I come to your mind you might keep us in your prayers. Also last week we went and had the kids' pictures done. So I will be posting new pictures soon...yeah!! Love and prayers.

Sis. It started snowing yesterday afternoon, and didn't stop until this morning. We got like 9 or 12 inches. I am so excited. I have been wanting snow so we could take the kids sledding. I think if there is still enough we are going to try and go sledding on Saturday afternoon. The schools got cancelled today, so I called in to work. Plus Jonah was up early this morning with an up set stomach. So we didn't get much sleep. He finally got to lay down and take a nap after the other boys got up. When he woke up he said he felt all better. So I am thinking it was just a quick stomach virus. But I am so thankful that it quickly went away. There was a point this morning after like our third trip to the bath room that Jonah told me that he felt like he just needed to be prayed for. It brought a smile to my face to know that he knows who to turn to when you need help. And of course I got down and prayed for him. But anyways I got him to eat some lunch and everything was fine. So we all took a trip out to play in the snow. Noah was so tired that he would take a step and fall face first into the snow. He would come up with an all white face. He didn't really enjoy it to much. Next time I'll have to make sure he isn't tired. And then Isaac and Jonah just got out there and played. They tried to make snow angels but it was to deep for them. They would lay down in the snow and sink to the bottom. It was funny to watch them. But we had lots of fun, and I look forward to even more fun in the snow.

Sis. I was excited to get to go and see them play, usually I would be at work. Sis. Frankie (Mamaw), Sis. Jackie, Bro. Johnny, Jada and JoHannah were able to be there also, which made the boys' day. They both played really well. You can tell they have never played before, but it was cute to sit and watch them play. Jonah is so funny! He lets the ball get a head of him while dribbling. And he runs with his hands above his head the whole time. Isaac does the same thing with letting the ball get away from him. And he has the more serious attitude about it. They both ended up losing their games, but they both walked away with smiles on their face. I am so proud of the two of them.

Also I got this video clip of Noah yesterday. The one we have now has just gotten to small for him. So we had decided that on Friday when we got paid we were going to buy a new one. Well when we got home today from church our neighbor came over with one and said she was going to throw it away and thought about Noah. I couldn't believe it. God knows what we need and gives it to us so many times. I am so thankful, not only for the big things, but also for the little things that God does for us.

Also I ask that you all might say a pray for us. Our lease is up in April and we would like to buy a house. But we only want to do it if it is God's will for us. I want to do his will and not ours, so I ask that you might say a pray if it comes to your mind.

Sis. I sit and look at my three children and I can't believe how big they have gotten . They are such a huge blessing to me. God has blessed me with a wonderful family. He has given me so much, and I don't deserve any of it. I came into the faith when I was 19 and I can't believe I wasted so many years before that. But I am so thankful that God called me to be one of his children. After four and a half years in the faith I can't imagine tyring to go through life on my own. I can't believe how many last minute shoppers there are out there. I am the type I like to get things done early and get it over with. Are any of you last minute shoppers? This is the first holiday season I have worked in retail and it is just crazy. And these past couple days it seems like everyone has been in terrible moods. If they only knew what Christmas was really about, maybe they wouldn't be in such a bad mood. But anyways I am very thankful that I have a job. The people I work with are all pretty nice. And I get along with them all for the most part. I am excited about Christmas this year. Our boys are getting older and I would really like to start a tradition of reading the Christmas story with them on Christmas. So I am going to try and start that this year. With all the different family Christmas that each of us have, we decided that we are going to cook Chinese for our Christmas dinner with my husbands family. Last year we done it for Thanksgiving, so this year we decided we would do it for Christmas. Sis. Frankie has some really good recipes that we use. Plus that will give the kids (and big kids- Bro. Jimmy and Bro. Johnny) time to play with the toys before church.

I can't believe how fast this year has flown by. It seem like just yesterday it was January. But I have lots of good memories from this year. The Lord has given me many things to be thankful for this year. He has protected me and my family many of times. I pray that I can only be that much more of a servant for him this next year. I love you all, and I hope that you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Sis. We actually started our Thanksgiving the Saturday before. We all got together and had a church Thanksgiving dinner. It turned out to be really nice. Lots of good visit. Then Thanksgiving day we went over to my families and had Thanksgiving with them. That was lots of fun. I got to see some of my family I haven't seen in a while. None of my family is in the faith, so you never really know how it will turn out. Especially with Christmas around the corner. We don't do the whole Santa thing and my family doesn't understand why. But it was never brought up and everything turned out to be really good. The weather was beautiful that day. The guys even ended up outside playing basketball. Then Friday morning I got up at 2:45 am and headed in to work. But by the grace of God it wasn't all that bad. Everything went really smooth. We didn't have any complaints, and customers were actually really nice. I was so thankful God blessed me that morning. Then that afternoon we done Thanksgiving with Jimmy's family. We had it our house this year. And it too turned out to be good. I have so much to be thankful for. Jimmy had to work). Mamaw, Aunt Krissy and Uncle Barry went with us too, I guess you can say they took us. It was so beautiful there. I love this time of year when the leaves are changing. We walked the paths, and the creek, then we let the kids play on the play ground for a little. It was so peaceful to be out there. When I was younger I would stay out at my grandparents a lot. They lived way out in the country. My cousin and I would spend hours just out walking and playing in the woods. We had so much fun as kids out there. And being there today at the park brought back so many good memories. Lord willing I hope to live out in the country one day. It is so awesome just to look around and and see all that God has created. How the simplest things in life can bring such joy and peace to us. God is so good to us. And I am so thankful that God would allow me this day with the kids, and family.

Isaac, Mamaw, Jonah, and Noah in the back

Sis. We had such a good time. I really enjoy going down to Kentucky very much. It has been a while since we last were down there, and it was such a blessing to get to go again. And the brethren there are just great. They are very hospitable to any and everyone. It is so awesome to just go down there and drive around, especially in the fall. It is so beautiful. The tree are all different colors. We got down there Thursday morning around 11:30 a.m. Yeah that's right it's around a 3 1/2-4 hour trip and Sis Frankie had us up at 6 in the morning. So we went to Bro. Brad and Sis. Deanna's house. Then we headed over to their new house. They bought a house back in 2005 and have been working on since then to try and get it done. Sis. Frankie and Bro. Jimmy worked on the ceilings some while I took care of the kids. It is getting so close to being done. I can't wait for them to be able to move into it. A little later I had Jimmy take me and the boys to Sis. Jan's house. The boys were getting restless. Then later that afternoon we headed over to Bro. Darin and Sis. Diana's house where we were staying. Bro. Darin and Jimmy ended up heading over to Sis. Deidre and Stephen's house to get it painted for them to come home to after the wedding. They didn't get the keys to it until last Monday so they had a lot to get done in such little time. The next morning we got up and the kids and I went over to Sis. Jan's, while Jimmy and Bro. Steve went back to work more on Bro. Brad and Sis. Deanna's new house. Then Friday evening and Saturday morning we just hung out and visited with the brethren. They were not able to start decorating the church until 11:30 a.m. so a lot of the sisters and some of the brothers headed to the church to get everything sit up. And with the Lord's help everything turned out really good. Sis. Frankie done the cake and it was beautiful. It was suppose to rain all day Saturday and the Lord blessed us with sunshine. Then Sunday we got up and went to church. Then after church we got everything loaded and headed home. What a wonderful trip the Lord blessed us with. Wish you could of been there Sis. Jana, miss you bunches. I am posting some pictures for you to see of the wedding.

Sis. His actual birthday isn't until Tuesday, but we wanted to do it on the weekend. He told his mamaw that he wanted his cake to look like daddy's trucks. So Sis. Frankie did him a 3-D semi-truck. It turned out really good for her first time doing anything like this. Jonah was happy with it, and that's all that matters. We had that family over and cooked out. He got a lot of cool toys. His Uncle Johnny (Sis. Jackie's husband) got him a couple toy guns, that make lots of noise. So Jada's birthday will be coming soon and we'll have to pay him back for that, sorry Jackie. He also is into art stuff. So he got a couple art things...mess free painting and markers...YEAH!!! That was one of the best things ever invented. So it turned out to be a really good day. Also you might keep the brethren in your prayers here. A lot of us are going to be traveling this weekend to go to Kentucky. A sister in the church is getting married Saturday. So a lot of us will be on the roads. It's been over a year since we were last down there. I can't wait to see all of them again. We are heading out early Thursday morning and coming back on Sunday afternoon. Sis. Frankie plans on baking the cakes here and then decorating them in Kentucky. So you might also say a prayer for her.

Sis. We went to the orchard. It was so much fun. I am so thankful that the Lord allowed me to be able to go with him. We got to the orchard around 9:45 am. We first went to the play area and the children got to play around. Next we had free time and we played games and went to see the llamas. After that we went and walked through the maze. That was lots of fun. I had a map and we still got lost in it, but the kids had a blast trying to find their way out. After we got everyone back together we went and ate lunch. When we got done with lunch we went and did the pumpkin walk. They had different stages of how pumpkins grow, and talked to the kids about it. They passed out pumpkin seeds to all the kids for them to try them. Some of the kids liked them others were spitting them back out. Next we got to go and do the hay ride. Each child got to pick out a pumpkin. Then we came back and done the apple tour. First we went to the huge cooler to see where they store them after they are picked. Then we saw where they wash them and sort out the apples. The good ones are sent to the store to sell. The ones a little beat up are sent to be made into cider. And the ones that with a actual hole or cut are thrown back in the orchard for worms to eat. Next we went to the room where the cider is made. After that everyone got to have a taste of the cider. Next the kids got to go and pick them some apples. Then we all loaded back on to the bus and headed back to school. I was such a joy to be out there and get to have this experience with him. I can't believe how old he is getting. We had a small get together for him. It was lots of fun. Bro. Steve and Sis. Charlotte brought corn hole and Apples to Apples. If you have never played apples to apples you are missing out on a very fun card game. Sis. Jan from KY introduced it to us a couple years go, and we feel in love with it. And then you have Bro. Jimmy and Bro. Johnny, who can't stay away from the toys. As you can see from the video they like to bomb each other...good thing it doesn't hurt!!! I think they played with it more than the kids got to. Tomorrow is Isaac's real birthday. Weather premitting we plan on taking the boys to play putt putt. We are suppose to get the storms from Ike tomorrow. Lord willing they will go above us. But I guess we will just have to wait and see. Other than that everything has been going good for us. You might say a prayer for the brethren here. There seems to be a virus going around, and everyone is getting sick. Sis.Frankie and Sis. Stubby has been dealing with it the past couple days and tonight Jonahs, our middle child, voice had that sickness sound to it. So if you think about it please remember us in your prayers.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v7.nonxt4.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D6056a3332f75e0a2%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331438786%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D7B99DAA5B3DB02F75B8E92DDD36C04AE9554A54A.7BDF3C51D3807461C7488150258672E9D3FF5B5%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D6056a3332f75e0a2%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DGGnsAYw8aIRxHXcXZ9oKyazBSSI&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Sis. I have been pretty busy around here. With school starting and starting a new job. But all is going well. My job is OK, it's a job. The people all seem to be nice, I just hate being away from the family. I hardly get to see my husband. It seems like he gets home from work, and I leave for work. So while I was filling out apps. I had applied at a OB/GYN office as a receptionist. Well yesterday one of the lady's that work up there told Sis. Frankie that the spot had become available. So if it is God's will for me to get that job, I hope to get a call soon. But if that was to happen I would have to get a baby sitter for the youngest. So I ask that you might say a prayer. I don't want to have to take him to a day care, but I might have to. So I ask for your prayers in that. Isaac and Jonah are both doing well in school. I am so thankful for your prayers about it. I was so worried about Jonah. We went to Isaac open house last Monday and the teachers said he was doing great. He had some problems last year in reading. Well the way they do it this year is they have 3 different reading classes, well he is in the lowest one. When we talked to his reading teacher she said that they were probably going to move him up here soon. That they went off his test scores from the end of the year last year, and that he was just doing really good. Thank you God!! We really worked with him over the summer, thanks to the library's reading program. And then we went to Jonah's open house last night. His teacher said he was doing good. So I am so thankful for that news. I do ask prayer for my husband. He just called me and said that they were going to change his schedule at work, till they can find someone else. They had to fire someone. He said that he was going to be working nights on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursday, and he'll be doing the day shift on Fridays and Saturdays. Which leaves him with Mondays and Wednesdays off, so he doesn't miss any church, which is awesome. But that schedule messes with mine. He was at home with the kids while I was at work, and now he won't be able to. So that means I would be able to work a whole 2 days. And that's not really worth it. So I do ask that you might pray that they can find someone right away. Well I guess I kind of got carried away so I will get off here now.

Sis. Isaac started 2nd grade, and Jonah started kindergarten. Isaac done just fine. He got up ate breakfast, brushed his teeth and then we walked down to the bus stop. Then there was Jonah. He really didn't do as bad as what I thought he would do. I thought we would end up having to take him to school. He got up with Isaac and he watched TV as Isaac ate breakfast. Then he walked with us to take Isaac to the bus stop. Then we came back and got him some food. Then we walked down to his bus stop. That's when he told me that his tummy was hurting. I got down with him and we said a prayer together. Then I sat and talked with him till his bus got there. Bro. Jimmy recorded it as I took pictures and helped him get on the bus. I got him to wave to us and even got a little smile as the bus pulled away. I never told Jonah, but I wanted him to stay as much as he wanted to stay. It almost brought tears to my eyes. I can't believe how fast they grow up. Well I thought it was over, that was until around 9:00. The school called and said that Jonah had wet his pants. Jonah had said at the bus stop he had to go, but we didn't have enough time to come back home. I told him to tell a teacher when he got to school, but I guess he didn't. So when I got to the school he just started crying. We got him all changed, and he had stopped crying by then. They wouldn't let me walk him back to class, but the school nurse gave him so gold fish and said she would walk him back. So now I sit here waiting for him to get home. It's all day kindergarten but today and tomorrow he only goes till 10:40 and on Friday he goes till 12:00. That way it gets them use to it instead of just throwing them into something that they are not use to. So if you think about it please continue to keep the boys in your prayer.

Sis. I had an interview yesterday at Dick's Sporting Goods. They offered me a job on the spot. But the hours and pay are way lower then what I needed. The one good thing is that it is hours when my husband is home, so he can stay with the kids. Of course I told them I would have to go home and talk it over with my husband. It is not exactly what I was looking for, but it is a job for now. Lord willing I will find something more along the lines of what I need. So I ask that you might say a prayer that I would be able to do a good job for them. And that if it is the Lord's will for me to get a job else where that something would come availible.

Sis. It started out by going to church. I really enjoyed church, and what was said. There wasn't a whole lot there due to brethren visiting other places and brethren going on vacation, but it was still good. I am usually in the back room with the youngest, cause he won't be quite, but he slept all through church. I actually got to listen and hear what was being said....yeah!!! Then we rode with Sis. Frankie to go deliver a cake, and then we went home and I got to see my husband. He's been working nights so I haven't seen a lot of him. So I was happy to get home and spend some time with him. We ended up taking the kids down to the pool. We had lots of fun. This summer we have been trying to work with Jonah to get him out of the armies. Every time we would take them off of him he would get scared and say he couldn't do it. Well that is something we don't take, we try and get them to see that they can do anything, they just have to want to. So Jonah yesterday asked if he could take one off. So we done that and he swam around for a while. Then I got him to float on his back with both of them on. So I asked him if he was ready to try it without any on. So we did and he did great. So after he saw he could float with no floaters he decided to try the swimming with no floaters, and he did great. So we finally got him out of the armies....yeah!!! After swimming we came back and grilled out. It was such a wonderful day, and I am so thankful that God allowed us it.

Also I ask that you would keep Isaac and Jonah in your prayers. They start school next Wednesday (Aug. 13). Isaac will be going into 2nd grade and Jonah will be starting kindergarten. So if you think about it please say a prayer.

Sis. I have a couple prayer request. My youngest ,Noah, is either coming down sick, or he is teething. He has been really whinny the past couple days and has a runny nose and a slight fever. All he wants is for me to hold him. He gets downs for a little bit then is right back crying for me to pick him up. So I ask that you might say a prayer that if it is a sickness it would just go away, or if it is his teeth that they would hurry up and get through. I would also like prayer for my husband. Next week one of the guys at his work is going to be on vacation. So my husband has to cover his shift. So that means he is going to be working form 12 -noon till 12-midnight. Which means he will miss church Sunday morning and Wednesday night. Plus it's alot of hours that he is not use to. I also just want to thank you all for the prayers the went out for my mother-in-law. My mother passed just a little over a year ago, and since then Sis. Frankie has filled that mother place in my life. Don't get me wrong I still miss my mother very much and no one could ever take her place, but scine she is not here Sis. Frankie has taken me in as her own. I am so thankful for the husband and in- laws that God gave me. I couldn't have asked for any better. Well there is Bro. Johnny thought, but I have Sis. Jackie to take care of him...lol

Sis. His hair was starting to get really long and curl at the bottom. Which it was cute, but only for a little while. See both Bro. Jimmy and I have thick hair, so, so does Noah. We ended up at a place called Cookie Cutters. I wanted to take him some where were they dealt with a bunch of kids. They have a small slide in the waiting room. And the chairs are shaped like cars, trains, and the one he sat in was a dinosaur. It's really a cute place. While we were waiting, there was a little boy getting his hair cut, and he was screaming. I thought for sure Noah would do the same. But much to my surprise he done really good. He was a little whinny at first when we got by the lady. But she gave him a bottle of bubbles to play with and he was just fine. Then at the end when we took the bubbles away he got whinny again. But over all it was a good experience.

Sis. Friday we met up with some of the brethren and went down town and watched the fire works. This is the first year we had done this. It was really a nice change. It always brings me such joy to be with the brethren. Then on Saturday Bro. Steve and Sis. Charlotte had a cook out at their house. So we got to spend the day again with the brethren. Their were a couple brethren that brought their guitars. They had corn hole boards set up, and of course the "Bounce"aleen...as Jada calls it. Here are some pictures of the kids and "big kids" playing. Everyone just had them a good time. How nice to be around brethren all weekend long....YEAH!!!!

On a different note last Tuesday I went for a job interview. The lady told me that they didn't have any job openings at that time, but they were tyring to get interviews done cause you never knew when one would open. Then on Wednesday or Thursday (I can't remember) my husband called and said they posted a internal job post for CSR. So that means the position I wanted would be coming available. So if you would please keep me in your prayers about this.

Sis. We had lots of good fellowship. I really enjoyed being around all the brethren. We had really nice weather for this. It was suppose to rain yesterday evening, and God blessed us with nothing but sunshine. Some of he brethren brought their instruments ( as you can see in the pictures). I always enjoy the singings we have. It's neat to add the music with our singing. I enjoyed seeing the kids, and adult, out playing together. We saw some brethren that we hadn't seen in awhile. It was a beautiful day for it. His Aunt Krissy and Uncle Barry got to come and watch him. He did really good, he won 3 matches. There are still some things he needs to work on. He likes to over power his swing and hit the ball really far. I have to keep reminding him that it isn't baseball and that he doesn't have to hit it as hard as he can. They had 4 different matches going at once. And then the kids left over got to play some tennis warm up games. Well by the end of the matches none of the kids wanted to play matches, they all wanted to play the games. So they ended with a game of tennis ball (it's kind of like baseball but with tennis balls and rackets). It was funny to watch. I enjoyed being there and getting to watch him. He had a blast and that's all that matters.

Also we all done good at the yard sale we had. What a beautiful day we have had here today. It's been around 80 but it has a nice breeze where it's not to hot. Just got back a little ago from taking my oldest, Isaac, to his tennis lesson. He is doing so good and really likes it. He is already asking to sign up for the winter program. Which I am thankful that he likes it. I hope it is something he sticks with. Anyways I would like your prayers about a job. I quit work when I had Noah back in Feb. 2007, and my husband and I have decided it was time for me to go back to work. I started putting applications in back in Dec. and still no calls. I really don't want to go back to work, I like being a stay at home mom, but with the prices of gas and food going up it would really help us out. I know that God has really blessed us this far and that he will continue, but I ask that you all might pray that I would know what God's will is for me and my family in this. That if it was for me to go back to work he would lead me to where he would want me to work. I will also do my best to keep all of you in my prayers.

Sis.
