Update Of My Life Lately......

Wow I didn't realize it had been this long since I last posted. I have gotten on and read the blogs, but not done much with mine. So lets see what have I been up to lately? Well we are still waiting the arrival of our new family member. I am going to be 38 weeks on Monday, so we still have a couple weeks. I hope he comes soon, I am so uncomfortable. Plus I am ready to take some time off work. We had a good Thanksgiving. We normally do Thanksgiving with my family on Thanksgiving and then Thanksgiving with my hubby's side the day after. Well we normally do our thanksgiving at my aunt and uncles house, and this year they made plans to go to her sisters. And then my grandmothers house is too small. So a bunch of them just ended up going down to French Lick for Thanksgiving. We were unable to make it due to my hubby having to work that morning and then I needed to go to bed early cause I had to get up Friday at 3:00 am for work. So it was the first year I didn't spend Thanksgiving with my family. It was a little hard on me, but with the Lords help I made it through with only a few tears. And then there was Black Friday. I am so glad that it is over with. I really struggled to make it through the day. It's not easy standing in one spot all day dealing with crabby customers, not to mention being 36 weeks pregnant. Plus I got stuck with all the upset customers, cause no one else knew enough to help them, including our manager. But once again with the Lords help, and only by that, I was able to make it through the day. Then I was able to come home and enjoy the afternoon with my hubby's side of the family and eat a good Thanksgiving dinner. Then we put up our Christmas tree and some of the decorations this past Monday night, and I was able to get what presents i had here wrapped and put under the tree. I only have like five more gifts to buy and I am done...Yeah!!!! So that is a little of what has been going on around here. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and that you have a Merry Christmas!! And hopefully my next post will have pictures of out new family member.

Another Birthday, Another Year...

Hello to all!! Well we had another birthday a week ago. Jonah turned 7 this year. We celebrated his birthday the Saturday before and Frankie also cooked my birthday dinner. And yes Sis. Frankie done the cake, which turned out great. It was the first time we really had the family over to our new house since we moved in. The weather was a little chilly, but the kids (both little and big) had fun playing out back. I am so thankful to have a fenced in back yard. When we first started looking for a house it's one of the things that I really wanted, and I am thankful that God allowed us to have it. Oh the joy to just to be able to open the back door and the the kids run. The Lord has really blessed us with this house. We finally got Isaac and Jonah's room painted. They wanted it done it the Colts. So now we just have to get Noah and Micah's room done. We are going to do it in emergency vehicles. We are just having a little trouble finding decals to match the paint that we already bought. You would think that they would be easy to find. I guess we should have gotten the decals first and then the paint....lol!!! I can always do a boarder, but I don't really want to put anything permanent on the walls. I am sure we will figure something out.

Then this past Monday we meet up with Sis. Jackie and her family, and we got dinner and went and ate at the park. It was nice to get out and let the kids play. We had a scare while we were there, but the Lord to care of it, and I am so thankful for that. By the time we got done eating it had started to get dark so we just let the kids play. They have beautiful wooded paths you can walk, we decided to wait and do those another day. But all in all in been a good past couples weeks.

What's Been Going On...

Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. We have been busy around here with the house thing. Lord willing we should close on the house tomorrow or Wednesday. We have been told this two or three times now, and last minute comes and they end up needing something else. So hopefully they have everything they need now.

Since my last post Isaac turn 9 on the 14th of September. We had a small get together for him over at Sis. Jackie's and Bro. Johnny's house. Our place isn't in the best of shape right now, lets just say boxes every where. Plus Isaac shares his birthday with his Uncle Johnny, so Sis. Frankie was making Johnny's birthday dinner also. It was nice to get away from here and enjoy time with the family. Isaac wanted a baseball cake this year, and of course Sis. Frankie done another wonderful cake. I can't believe he turned 9. Next year he'll hit the double digits...yikes!! Then on the 18th of September I turned 25. I am now a quarter of a century...lol My hubby took me out to eat...mexican...yum! But some how he manged to make is way to my work and buy himself a new bow for hunting. Men what would we do without them...LOL!! Then this past Friday Jimmy went on a field trip with Jonah to Tuttles Orchard. They had a good time. It was suppose to rain all day and God blessed them with nothing but sunshine.
So that's what we have been up to around here lately. Hope everyone has a good day, and may God be with you in all you do.

House Update

So we got a call from the mortgage company on Friday. They told us to get a hold of our realtor on Tuesday and sit up a closing date for either the 18th or 21st. So hopefully we will be moving into our new home soon!! Well that is as long as it is okay with God. I can't wait to be able to get in there and paint and decorate the way I want to. We have lived in apartments or with family since we have been married, so you can't really do it the way that you want to. I am excited to have the yard so that we can just step out back and let the kids run around. And also I wanted to share a small blessing from God. Our gas grills leg rusted off a couple weeks ago. We have had it for just over a year now. We called the company today and they said that they would replace it for us. Yeah!!!! I really didn't want to have to go out and get a new one.

On a different note I ask that you all might say a prayer about my job. I have grown to really hate going in to work. A while ago I talked to our manager about the hours she was scheduling me to work. She had me working every night that I was there, and so I was never getting to see the two oldest. So then things got better for a while, and now we are right back to where we started. I don't get to go to any of the family's get togethers because of it, and I hardly see the two oldest now that they are back in school. I would love to turn in my two weeks notice and be done with it, but I don't see that being an option. But I ask that you might just say a prayer that if it is for me to get another job I would know where to look, and if it's not that things would get better at work. I love you all and hope that everything is going well for each of you.

Is There A House In Our Furture???

So we went Thursday afternoon and placed a offer on a house. Our realtor called us tonight and said the offer has basically been accepted and it just needed to be signed by us, but first she wanted to run a few more numbers. I am excited but scared all at the same time. First and for most I want to make sure that this is Gods will for us. Then with the way the economy is today any big purchase is scary. But if it's Gods will for us then I know he will see us through. The house would be perfect for us, and it's all one level....YEAH!!!! It has a nice size back yard already fenced in, which is what I wanted most for the kids. So as of right now all we can do is keep praying for Gods will to be done.

Back To School...

So yesterday was Isaac and Jonah's first day back to school. You would think since Isaac is now a third grader and Jonah is a first grader it would be easier to send them to school. But I found myself still wanting to cry as they both climbed onto their buses. I kept myself busy all day yesterday trying to make the time past by faster. And as soon as the clock hit 2:30 Noah and I headed down to the bus stop. Jonah was the first one to get home. And yes of course he got off the bus with a huge smile on his face. Noah was so happy when he saw the bus coming he started jumping up and down. So then we waited for Isaac to get home. As we stood there waiting we talked about Jonahs day. He was so worried that morning that none of his friends were going to be in his class this year. So I asked him who all was in his class, and he said just about all the kids that were in his class last year. So then Isaac's bus comes around the corner, and of course he got off the bus with a smile on his face also. Once we got back home Isaac and I talked about his day. He has his same teacher from last year, and a lot of his friends from last year are in his class. They both said they had a good day, and that put a smile on my face. Oh how they grow up so fast!!

The Verdict Is In....

So we found out the sex of our little one today. We are going to be having another little boy!! A girl would of been nice, but boys are just as good. Plus everyone one says boys are so much easier than girls. And also we have everything for a little boy, so we don't have much to buy. So now we just have another 20 weeks to wait, till we can enjoy our new addition.

Our Trip to the Zoo...

So today we decided to take the kids to the zoo. we started the morning out with heading to the schools to get the boys both registered for school. They go back on August 12. So then we went and met up with Sis. Frankie and headed to the zoo. It was a hot and crowded day at the zoo. But we made the best of it and had fun. We first went and saw the fish, and sharks, then to the penguin, seals and polar bear. Frankie and I got to pet a shark for the first time. That was cool!! They are very soft feeling. Then we headed over to the plains and saw the giraffe, lions, monkeys, and elephants. After taking many stops through there we headed over to the rabbits, goats, horses, and sheep. Isaac and Jonah got to go in and pet the goats and walk around with them. They both thought that was really neat. Then it was time for the dolphin show. I love dolphins and it made it even better cause Noah actually sat still and watched the show. Then we ended the day at the splash zone. They were all drenched from head to toe by the time we left. I wish I would of had the camera for this, but I didn't want it to get wet. I think this may have been all of their favorite part. But all in all it was a good day.

So other than that everything has been going well around here. Just getting ready for school and a baby. We go and find out what we are having next Monday. I can't wait, I am so excited!!Well that is as long as the little thing decides to cooperate with us. Hope everyone is doing good and until next time God bless.

Change In Plans..

Well we had planned on heading out tomorrow for Kentucky. Well that was until our two year old decided to get sick tonight. Sis. Krissy baby sits for me and she told me today that he wasn't being him self. So then this afternoon we went for a ride and lets just say it turned sour. So we have decided to put off our trip for now. But we still have the weekend off to enjoy and try to relax. If Noah comes to your mind I ask that you say a prayer. With me being pregnant and sick all the time it is hard for me to clean him up. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Love and prayers!!

Heading Out Friday...

Well we are heading out Friday afternoon (Lord willing) to head to Kentucky. I am so excited to be going. Just to be able to get away for a couple days and get to see all the brethren there. Plus it is so beautiful there. I love to just get out there and drive around, lots of hills and valleys. We plan on heading back on Monday, and then Tuesday is my hubby's 30th birthday. Not sure what we are going to do for him, I have to work noon to six. Maybe a special dinner or something, who knows? But I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and I'll post about the trip when I get back.

Our Trip to the Children's Museum

This past Saturday we got to take a trip to the Children's Museum. I hadn't been to the museum since I was in school. So I really was looking forward to it. Plus we all got in free thanks to my husbands work, so that just made it that much better. We wasn't sure how Noah would do so we were a little worried at first, but he ended up doing really good. They had a science area and the kids made boats and played in the water. Then we went from there and rode the carousel. This was Noah's first ride ever. Isaac ,Jonah, and Jimmy rode the ones that move up and down, and Noah rode one that stays still with me standing next to him. I think Jimmy was scared the most out of all of them. LOL!! Then we went and walked through the dinosaur area. That was lots of fun. The kids got to dress up as dinosaurs. The had a dig area were they could go and dig and find different bones(fake of course) and things. Then we went and walked through a train. And then we went on a tour of a tomb. The kids got to help dress a fake mummy. And then from there we just kind of walked around and looked at the different things. We had a really good day and we all enjoyed it very much.

I'm Pregnant!!!

So just to let everyone know, we are expecting another addition to our family. I am 7 weeks today. I do ask for prayer in this, my last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. So if I come to your mind please say a prayer. But however we are excited about it, and can't wait to welcome the baby into our lives. Also there is another sister in our church, Sis.Holli, she too is pregnant and miscarried her last one. She is around 14 weeks pregnant, and this is her first child. So you might remember her in your prayers also.

First Baseball Game!!

This past Saturday was Isaac's first baseball game, and opening day. All the teams meet at one spot and then walked through town to the baseball fields. It was a beautiful day for this, sun was shining and the wind was blowing, oh how I love spring. But anyways this is Isaac's first year playing baseball, so we wasn't sure how he would do. It turns out he is pretty good at baseball. He was drafted to the Yankees. He tries to play all positions instead of just taking care of his. But he is very athletic. The way they do this age of kids is they let one whole team bat and then it is the other teams turn, the kids get six chances to hit the ball before it's the next kids turn, and they don't keep score. Isaac was fourth from last in his batting line up. He hit the ball both times he batted and so did the next two boys. However the last little kid couldn't hit the ball, so Isaac never did get to make it home. But he done really good. So we are really proud of him and look forward to this season.

My Baptism

So here lately I have been thinking about my baptism. I thought I would share with all my sisters how thankful I am that God chose me to be one of his children. This September will be my 5th year since I started my walk with God. See my sister and I were living on our own when I was 15 and she was 18 years old. We both worked at this restaurant called Zydeco's New Orleans Grill next door to where we lived. So being that young and not having any one around to tell us what to do we pretty much done whatever we wanted to do. Well also working at this restaurant were two sisters in the faith. They would say things and I just totally blew them off. I didn't want to hear what they had to say. I was having fun, or so I thought. We worked together for about 3 years before I finally came to church. I first stepped into the church January of 2004. I went for a couple months and then stop. I started to realize that there was more to this life than what I had, and it scared me. I still continued to hang out with the sisters, so I didn't leave totally. August of 2004 my sister, a friend of hers, and I took a trip to Florida. Well while we were down there a hurricane hit. We had know it was coming but it was on the other side of Florida. Well lets just say the hurricane changed direction and came straight across land. We were on the 20th floor and I remember waking up to water pouring in the windows and sitting in a chair swaying back in forth. So as soon as I got back home I started going back to church. August 29 this sister and her family and I went out to eat after church. As we sat there talking about things I told her I wanted to be baptized. We called Bro. Jerry and he talked to me about it. He asked me if I was sure about it, and I all I could say was I have never been more sure about anything. So the following Wednesday night before church I was baptized. The following Sunday we had the Lord's supper and I have been ever so thankful since then. God has been so good to me. He gave me a good husband, three very handsome boys, great in-laws, and a wonderful family in Christ. So the thought came on my mind what have I done for God? Do I make God happy? I try, I know there are things that I need to work on. And so I ask for prayer, that I would be a person that is pleasing to God. That my eyes and ears would be open. And that I would be willing to do any and everything that the Lord puts before me. That I would be in subjection to my husband as God wants. Not that I am horrible, but this is something I do struggle with. I am a very strong willed person, and I need not to be so much. But I know with God's help I can do anything.

So Much, But So Little..

Sorry I haven't been on here much lately. I have been so busy around here with work and trying to keep up with the house work. I feel like I have been going non-stop, but not a lot talk about. We got a new manager at work the end of January and she has been scheduling me a lot. Which is good I don't want to complain, but it's a lot of evening time and I don't get to see the two oldest boys or my husband very much. But on the same note there looks to be a FEC (front end coordinator) position coming available and she pulled me aside this past Saturday and said that if everything goes as plan that she wants me to take that position. Which is what I have been wanting to do, but only if it is GOD's will. So if you think about it please say a prayer about it. As far as Noah goes, he is still in diapers. He will go and sit on his potty, but he never does anything. But I am just taking it slow with him. When he is ready he'll go. You see Noah doesn't much talk. We put him in speech therapy this past November. He is doing so much better, but still not saying much. One thing they work on with him is signing. So he does do some signing and say a few words. But as you see his communication isn't all that great. So that's why I say when he's ready he'll go. Isaac and Jonah have finished up their basketball games. They both played really well and learned a lot. Isaac is going to play baseball this spring, so we are getting ready for that. Jonah decided that he didn't want to play any sports this spring. Which is fine by us. I think after he watches Isaac play he'll change is mind next year. They both get their report cards Friday. So I am excited to see how they have done these nine weeks. Isaac has moved up in math and reading both since his last report card. And Jonah is just a smart little thing, sometimes too smart for his own good. Jimmy is now in his baseball season. He coaches 7th - 8th grade baseball. They had try-outs last week, so now they have started their practices. His first game is April 7. This is his second year coaching, so I hope they have a good season. Wow as I sit here writing I guess I do have a lot going on.... So I will stop now before I write a book. I love you all and I will try not to take so long before my next post. Oh by the way Jimmy's heart has been messing with him lately. It will beat then wait a second or two then beat two beats real fast. So if he comes to your mind I ask that you might remember him in your prayers.

Two Years Already!!

So today we celebrated Noah's second birthday. Wow I can't believe it's been two years already. It seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant. But we had a good day. We started the day out with going to the two older boys' basketball game. I really enjoy going to their games. It is so fun to watch Jonah's age group play. This is all the first year kids playing so they just all kind of do their own thing. And then you watch Isaac's age group and they are more competitive. Isaac has came a long way since he first got on the court. He made three baskets today...YEAH!!! So then we came home and got the the house ready for Noah's birthday. It kind of snowed this morning so there was some of my family that couldn't make it, but we had Jimmy's family over. We got a potty chair, some clothes, and a tricycle for Noah. I plan on starting the potty training on Monday, so if I come to your mind you might keep us in your prayers. Also last week we went and had the kids' pictures done. So I will be posting new pictures soon...yeah!! Love and prayers.

Snow Day!!

So we finally got some snow...yeah!!! It started snowing yesterday afternoon, and didn't stop until this morning. We got like 9 or 12 inches. I am so excited. I have been wanting snow so we could take the kids sledding. I think if there is still enough we are going to try and go sledding on Saturday afternoon. The schools got cancelled today, so I called in to work. Plus Jonah was up early this morning with an up set stomach. So we didn't get much sleep. He finally got to lay down and take a nap after the other boys got up. When he woke up he said he felt all better. So I am thinking it was just a quick stomach virus. But I am so thankful that it quickly went away. There was a point this morning after like our third trip to the bath room that Jonah told me that he felt like he just needed to be prayed for. It brought a smile to my face to know that he knows who to turn to when you need help. And of course I got down and prayed for him. But anyways I got him to eat some lunch and everything was fine. So we all took a trip out to play in the snow. Noah was so tired that he would take a step and fall face first into the snow. He would come up with an all white face. He didn't really enjoy it to much. Next time I'll have to make sure he isn't tired. And then Isaac and Jonah just got out there and played. They tried to make snow angels but it was to deep for them. They would lay down in the snow and sink to the bottom. It was funny to watch them. But we had lots of fun, and I look forward to even more fun in the snow.

Sis. Shannon

Well I just want to say hello to everyone. I hope that you have a wonderful and blessed day. May God be with you in everything you do and say.

Also I was going through my blog list of the sisters and Sis. Shannon came to my mind. Last I heard she was really sick. So I was just wondering as to how she was doing? If anyone knows please let me know.

Boys' First Basketball Game...

So today was the boys' first basketball game. I was excited to get to go and see them play, usually I would be at work. Sis. Frankie (Mamaw), Sis. Jackie, Bro. Johnny, Jada and JoHannah were able to be there also, which made the boys' day. They both played really well. You can tell they have never played before, but it was cute to sit and watch them play. Jonah is so funny! He lets the ball get a head of him while dribbling. And he runs with his hands above his head the whole time. Isaac does the same thing with letting the ball get away from him. And he has the more serious attitude about it. They both ended up losing their games, but they both walked away with smiles on their face. I am so proud of the two of them.
Also I got this video clip of Noah yesterday. It is so cute. He is going to be our future star...LOL!!!

Thank You God!!

So here lately I have been looking and reviewing bigger car seats for Noah. The one we have now has just gotten to small for him. So we had decided that on Friday when we got paid we were going to buy a new one. Well when we got home today from church our neighbor came over with one and said she was going to throw it away and thought about Noah. I couldn't believe it. God knows what we need and gives it to us so many times. I am so thankful, not only for the big things, but also for the little things that God does for us.

Also I ask that you all might say a pray for us. Our lease is up in April and we would like to buy a house. But we only want to do it if it is God's will for us. I want to do his will and not ours, so I ask that you might say a pray if it comes to your mind.

Then & Now....

As we bring in the new year it has brought so many good memories to me. I sit and look at my three children and I can't believe how big they have gotten . They are such a huge blessing to me. God has blessed me with a wonderful family. He has given me so much, and I don't deserve any of it. I came into the faith when I was 19 and I can't believe I wasted so many years before that. But I am so thankful that God called me to be one of his children. After four and a half years in the faith I can't imagine tyring to go through life on my own. And I am thankful that I have God to walk this life with.

Then & Now....
